COOKING LOVE SWEET AND SOUR FOR YOUR FRESH HEART
By special artlover guest Nikol Chatzigianni
“Cooking and life… two connected paths.
The first time it may turn out good.
The second time maybe not.
The third time I know.
Sour, sweet, refreshing, for all time and seasons.
I combine all my senses and I taste my effort.
Not many ingriedients, not many words.
I am me.” N.C.

COOKING EMOTIONS OF EARTHLY LOVE
By our guest artist Maria Trillidou
"Edible 1
Being edible yet at the same time toxic, Edible 1 is an altered bread roll which remains in an ambivalent state between comfort and discomfort, solace and poisoning hazard.
As an object of uncanny familiarity, it promises security, enjoyment, communion
yet also suggesting danger, pain and discord.
Edible1 may convey the dividing states and emotions of ‘earthly love’, but as a hyper-object it transcends this ordinary function and becomes a sacrificial consecrated offering to ‘divine love’." M.T.

COOKING LOVE CHALLENGE AND DISCOVER
By our ROA photographer Emma Louise Charalambous
"The Ultimate Pantry Party!
I am a sucker for having my fridge filled with fresh produce. As a vegetarian I find that I turn to my fruit and veg drawers in my fridge every day to prepare something to eat. However, when cooking during lockdown it is important to recognize and appreciate the richness of possibilities that we have stored in our kitchen cupboards. I have been trying to avoid going to the supermarket too often, and so have given myself the challenge of discovering recipes and creations made with as many dry storage as possible. Using staple pantry ingredients that most of us should have at home, this spicy Muhammara dip and easy-peasy flatbreads recipe is simplest way to partake in the bread-making frenzy that seems to be happening during quarantine. Comforting, tasty and also vegan." E.L.C.

COOKING LOVE MEMORIES AND SMELLS
By interior designer artist Sofia Stefanopoulou
“This recipe generates lots of childhood memories with loved ones who are no longer with us. Memories, smells, images, feelings emerged again and reminded me how lucky I was that I’ve had them in my life and they offered me such a beautiful and unique childhood. In these tough times, it is an opportunity to remember all those things that are actually important and try not to forget them during these so intense rythms of reality…” S.S.

Cooking love for uncounted birthdays
“Do birthdays count during Coronavirus era? Does the time that adds up count? Maybe yes, maybe no. Does weight count during Coronavirus era? Maybe no, certainly for the scale. Few ingredients, lots of preparation, lots of kneading, lots of mixing, lots of attention to the puff and baking, and they are ready to be stuffed with lots of love, to celebrate anything and however you like with the ones you love. What better than an entirely homemade burger!
A process, moreover, that reminds relationships…” R.S.
